Earth 1.0

My new favorite virtual world is the Earth - the classic space for action gaming. Players can explorer full 3-D immersive graphics, realistic sound, tactile feedback and in-world chat. It's the future of video gaming, and all you need to access this world is a piece of portable location aware electronics.

Seek ’n Spell is one of these new games that uses the Earth. Each new location offers its own rich crafted level with its own hills, streams, trees and challenges. The earth has 148,940,000 km² of land so gameplay never gets stale.

Projects like Open Street Maps and Google Maps give us a wealth of additional data to incorporate into Earth-based games, while accelerometers, gyros and additional sensors help to further connect game software. The Earth is now online and compatible with millions of devices. I can't wait to see what new experiences can be built on it.
