SXSW Panel on Location-Based Gaming

I'll be talking on a panel at South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive, which will be held March 12-16, 2010. This panel is going to cover some really fun stuff. Topics will range from how location-based games can make money to what the future of location-based gaming looks like. If you're at SXSW this year, come by and see it!

There is a huge potential in combining our games with the spaces around us, and it is amazing what the current breed of mobile devices lets you do. Even though they might have a slower CPU than your notebook, the new devices are much more powerful in a really important way. You carry them with you, and they're packed with sensors! In Seek 'n Spell, the "controller" isn't just a joystick and some buttons. You control the game with your legs, by running around a park. This wasn't possible until the iPhone and Android devices came along.
