Geo Games: The World is a Playground

This past Friday, I had the honor of presenting at volume 8 of PechaKucha night Cleveland. I gave a quick talk about a topic near and dear to our hearts: Geo Games! PKN was hosted in the heart of the warehouse district in a courtyard of the Hoyt Block that hadn't been used in over 10 years (a very interesting urban space with amphitheater seating, and a giant hole in one wall).

Photos of the event and video of the talk after the jump:

The turnout was great with somewhere around 500 people. Friend of Retronyms (and the man behind the Outer Spaces EPKeith Pishnery kindly shot some video of the talk (using an iPhone of course):

Thanks to everyone who listened in! The invite stands - head over to meetup.com/cle-seeknspell and join us for the next game (SF bay area folks head to meetup.com/sf-seeknspell)

PechaKucha Notes:
This was the first PechaKucha I've attended, but I'll definitely be going to more! The format is really fun: several presenters on a variety of topics. Each presenter gets 20 slides at 20 seconds each. The pace is rapid, and the ideas flow freely. Great time! Thanks to Mike Christoff and Raseem Parker for organizing the event, and AIGA Cleveland for Sponsoring!
