Artist Spotlight: Sicquan of Omni-tet 🎷🎶

We sat down with Sicquan of Omni-Tet, a saxaphone player and friend of our team in Columbus, OH. Sicquan got to try Looperverse and shared a bit about his creative process with us! Seeing artists re-imagine how an app can be intergrated into their workflow is so inspiring, especially when different genres are fused together. Looperverse will be on sale this weekend for just $0.99 if you'd like to try as well. ✨🎶 Sale begins 4/29/21 and ends 5/3/21. Don't forget to try the Looperverse Sampler in the Content Store, perfectly curated for your Looperverse experience.

Retronyms: Tell us a little bit about your set up. What do you use to create music?
Sicquan: I am a saxophone player, I play a Keilwerth MKX tenor Saxophone on a Syos mouthpiece, and a Vandoren paris reed. That is how I spend most of my time creating music.

R: Who are some of your biggest music influences and why?
S: My biggest influences in writing and playing are Erykah Badu, Snarky Puppy, Huntertones, Bob Reynolds, and I am always going back to Sonny Rollins as my saxophone idol!

R: What does creativity mean to you?
S: To be creative is to be willing to be criticized for the things that bring you joy and to let yourself become a part of your craft.

R: What's bringing you the most inspiration right now for your own music creativity?
S: Honestly I am most inspired by my fellow Band members of the Omni-tet, they are all very gifted musicians in their own right and they keep me on my toes.

R: How do you integrate Looperverse into your workflow?
S: I use Looperverse to record parts to songs that I am writing, and sending them to my band to listen to, before I put it on paper.
