🔧 Retronyms has the fix. Phase84 and beyond. 🔧

Announcing Version 2.1 of PHASE84

We are excited to announce the release of an updated version 2.1 of Phase84, the next generation phase distortion synthesizer mobile app now available in the iOS App Store.

Phase84 is an extremely capable synthesizer and features over 110 presets, containing all sorts of basses, leads, pads, bell tones, sweeps, atmospheric sounds, pseudo-realistic tones, and more. While you don't need to know much about synthesizers to get a lot out of Phase84, experienced synth tweakers will be thrilled at the sheer variety of unique sounds that can be produced with this incredibly versatile synth.

This update brings a host of new features and improvements to the app, making it even more powerful and easy to use. One of the most exciting updates is adding more horsepower to the phase distortion synthesis engine, which offers a wide range of new sounds and presets for Music Makers to explore. Music makers will love what they hear from bass presets like "Dubby Phat. Enchanting "Blown Out" Sweeps and "AweChords Mellow" and many more. There are endless was to use Phase84 for truly distinctive music production.

Music Makers like @Lojakk have had a lot of fun with beta testing version 2.1. He seems to be excited about it... 🔥  @Lojakk uses Phase84 and iMPC Pro 2 to create beats and soundtracks for his YouTube videos, Discord and Twitch stream. He has a whole series of videos of his creation process and some solid beats on your tube called "THE COOK UP".  How will you put Phase84 to the test?

Another major update in this release is a fix for a bug reported by many users. iMPC Pro 2 and Phase84 are now reconnected and can be loaded as an AudioUnit for all projects. Finally, the updated Phase84 app also includes a number of bug fixes and performance improvements, ensuring that the app runs smoothly and reliably.

Overall, the updated Phase84 app is a major step forward for this next generation phase distortion synthesizer.

If you're a fan of the app, be sure to download the update and check out all the new features for yourself! We'd love to see what you can create with Phase84. Don't forget to follow @Retronyms on Instagram and Twitter and tag us with your best project screenshot video. So What's Phase84 All About?

Phase84 is what's known as a Phase Distortion synthesizer. This form of waveshaping synthesis has its roots in Casio’s brilliant CZ line of digital synthesizers from the 80s. It is designed to have the warmth of a subtractive (analog) synthesizer, yet be capable of the squelchy tones and sharp attacks of an FM synth. Phase84 in particular can create warm pads, glitchy sounds, dirty basses, filthy sweeps, screaming leads, and anything in-between.

**update: A handful of Music Makers have reported a bug with "Bluetooth" in the "MIDI" menu. We are working to diagnose the issue. Please let us know if you experience this as well at support@retronyms.com**

Sound Pack download issue and Solution.

We want to thank all of the Music Makers who reached out to us to report a "Pack Unzip failure" error code when trying to download Sound Packs in the AudioCopy "Content Store". We began receiving reports of this issue in December and have worked to diagnose it and provide solutions for dozens of users. We understand the frustration of not being able to use the sound packs you purchased because of this temporary issue. We believe we'll have this corrected soon. For your device, this may be caused by a corrupted file download on the initial attempt. It seems to happen when you try to download more than one Sound Pack at the same time. A lot of other music makers with this same issue have avoided this problem by following these steps.

1. Open the "Files" app on your iPad/iPhone and navigate into your AudioCopy folder. (Make sure Audicopy is not in use.)

2. Look for a folder with the names of the sound packs that failed to unzip.

3. Completely delete the sound pack folders off of your device.

4. Open Audiocopy and attempt to download the sound packs. Please do this one at a time. We think the unzip error is happening when more than one pack is downloading.

Please let us know if this works for you at support@retroynms.com. We would like to hear from any user who is still experiencing downloading issues after following these steps. For our TableTop users, please let us know I you encounter any issues while attempting to download additional devices as in-app purchases.
