2010 Comes to an End

Now that 2010's all wrapped up, everyone seems to have some sort of top-ten list of recollections for the past year or predictions for the upcoming year.  Instead of following this trend and making something up, I'll point to a really cool project by SF artist Johnny Selman.  For the past year he's been making a poster of a BBC article that's made the front page.  I missed the show December 16 where the first 100 posters were displayed in stores up and down Valencia Street, but you can see all the works on the site.  Really think this is a neat way to remember the events of the past year, and I highly encourage you to check it out!

SF Art Walk This Thursday 6.3.10

This Thursday evening is the Divisadero Art Walk - a wonderful little streetside art show in Western Addition. Lots of neighborhood businesses have specials on food, drinks, and whatever else they vend that night too, so the night is sure to be full of fun all around. Here's the full list of who's participating and what kind of deals they're providing.

Incidentally, there's also an art walk in the galleries down by Union Square the same night, but I don't know that there's the same kind of neighborhood business participation among non-galleries. Either way, if you're looking for something to do that night, these are both great low-key pocket-friendly ways to spend your time!
