IK Multimedia is holding a music-making contest called the Mobile Groove Video Contest! It's pretty similar to the contest we threw for DopplerPad, except DopplerPad is only one among several apps you get to use and there's a lot more being given away. FourTrack, Instant Drummer, MixMeister Scratch, and the GrooveMaker apps are the others you're allowed to use, and you can use one, some, or all of the apps, just not anything outside this list. You're allowed to use other audio equipment, and once you're done you upload the video to YouTube and fill out the contest submission form on the site.
Get your entry in by December 15, 2009 for your chance to win super sweet studio software, DJ tools, and other fun stuff, all of which is detailed in the official list. Unlike our DopplerPad contest, the Mobile Groove Contest is judged exclusively by YouTube viewers. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the categories of Most Commented, Most Viewed, and Most Rated, along with 20 Honorable Mentions. First place gets you about $2600 worth of swag, and 2nd and 3rd round $1400, so to give you a better shot at winning you are welcome, nay encouraged, to get your friends to vote for your video.
